Local primary school, St Giles, were approached to help design a badge for our new club. There were 44 designs in total submitted by the pupils of St Giles Primary School. The badges from the pupils were full of good ideas and images that well represented the surrounding area and history of both Matlock and Cromford. With so many exciting images to choose from, it was difficult to easily identify a single winner. The club have therefore decided that the most appropriate and fair way to acknowledge the time and effort put in by everyone at St Giles was to glean a number of the images within various badges and arrive at a composite which will be, going forward, used as the badge for the new club of Matlock and Cromford Meadows Cricket Club.
